In 1950, Jimmy Hays joined his father, Charles G. Hays, after graduating from Georgia Tech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. At that time, the family business was still Hays Heating and Plumbing Company. Jimmy eventually became president and expanded the business into air conditioning, the foundation for where Hays Service is today.
