I have used their service before. The $99 ad is a scam. When the service man came, he said I can fix it, but not for $99. He then drilled a hole in my bath tub drain and told me turn on the faucet in the sink. He then said "now all these will go down to your ceiling." Please don't make the same mistake I did.

I came in the office on Monday my office area is flooded. I didn't hesitate just called Mike Diamond the smell good plumber from radio to quickly have this issue resolved. I agreed with 90 dollar service charge. They came over inspected for half hour or so and couldn't find the leak. Then they told me the wall looks wet and the leaking might came from inside the wall.
They asked my permission to open up the wall to check, but they are not responsible for fixing the wall later. What choice do I have? Yea if it's leaking from inside the wall go ahead and cut the wall and fix it. They cut up the wall for the remaining of the afternoon. They still haven't found the leak. They told me they will come back Tuesday morning to continue cutting up even more wall to the ceiling.
And estimate was $2700. I was scared. Tuesday morning came, they came again to continue the job. At this point, my coworker noticed something. My coworker pointed out hey isn't that small rubber pipe that leads to water fountain is leaking? It seems like it's the water fountain that's leaking. Mike Diamond plumber said "oh yea. I guess it is.
And that's your water fountain problem. Call your water fountain guy we are done here. " They charged us $90 and left. I'm ok with $90 service charge. To be quiet frankly I'm also ok with $2700 plumbing repair if it is necessary. It's just gonna be part of my business expense. But I'm not ok with them couldn't find the problem but blindly open up my walls for nothing.
Now I have a big mess in my office and the problem wasn't even in the wall. If my coworker a normal person could see the fountain was leaking how come a professional like mike diamonds couldn't see it? I am very upset about this whole thing.

What a mistake. We have all heard the ads all clogs $99 so when everything backed up into the bath tub as our washer located on the opposite wall of the shower drained we figured they would come out run a snake get the clog out and done $100 out the door we are good right?.WRONG! The guy came out looked around flooded my bathtub took the cover off one of the valves and told us it's a main line clog and needed a camera inspection. $500 husband and I talked of fine.
He climbs up into the attic runs the camera comes out tells me the clog in in our front yard 15 feet down. SAY WHAT?!? Now keep in mind it ONLY backs up when the washer drains not the toilet kitchen sink ect. We are quoted about $15,000 for them to dig up our front yard to fix it. So yeah no not today send me a copy of the video you promised.he "forgot" to record it was told he would have to do it again well then do it because that's what we were promised.
Then he leaves. The entire time he was here he complained about the house being old (built in 1960's) how this is why his family doesn't live here the house hates him can't believe this and that completely unprofessional behavior. Then I realized he left water in my washing machine. Ok well before I clean the tub let's drain it let it back up the tub again then I'll clean it.
Then I hear it. Remember me mentioning how he opened a trap valve. HE NEVER PUT THE CAP BACK ON! the valve is in my kitchen dirty water ALL OVER MY KITCHEN FLOOR I was pissed I called the company was sent to his manager and was asked if I wanted his to come back TOMORROW to put the cap back on. UM WHAT!?! Never again will I not use my normal plumber

We had a technician come out to look at our clogged kitchen sink. he quoted us 1600 but if we paid in cash he would do it for 1400. We live in a Senior community and I really feel he thought he could make some quick money. We had another company come out and the snaked it for the under 100 and I was more than happy to give him a nice tip. Beware of Mike Diamond!

Mike Diamond has great advertising, impressive equipment and professional/competent service members. But after calling in problem, they said I would be charged a $97.00 service call plus $10.00 Gas charge, then would get an estimate for the job, which was just replacing a Flush Valve in a Toilet. I figured it would run about $50.00 for parts and $100.00 for labor.
A job I have done easily before, but now due to age and stroke can't get down to work on toilet. The Estimate came in at $ 650.00 and I didn't have any alternatives when already being charged for Service call. and wife wanted it fixed. The job took all of 20 minutes to do and our Toilet is fixed but I still feel that I was overcharged by $ 400.00. Maybe that is where the "Diamond" comes from the name. It is going to cost you an Arm & a Leg for just a little Gem.

Mike Diamond plumbing did the requested work. We needed them to come out a second time to clear a toilet. Both times justified service calls. However, that is not what I take issue with. When paying, for the second service call, I was told there is a $20 fuel service charge. I was never advised of that charge when I called to schedule the second appointment.
That means MD is making and additional $15 on each call. Plus, I was told by the tech that there is a $10 coupon I could use but I wasn't offered that discount for this second visit. MD's $99 offer to clear any stoppage is actually $119. It not so much the additional money, it's MD's nefarious omission of and non-disclosure about the fuel service charge which is unacceptable to me. I will think twice before calling Mike Diamond Plumbing again. Who knows what additional charges they may slap on the call next time!

I got a quote and was charged 76.00 after I was told over the phone it would be a free consultation. I was FLABBERGASTED to see what the tech quoted me for installing a dishwasher, connecting new plumbing for a fridge (water dispenser), installing a sink, and plumbing for the sink. I was quoted a whopping 4000 plussss! Super rip off, i had a complete bathroom demolition and then remodel for that price, minus supplies. When I tell you my jaw dropped to the floor! Never ever will I ever call nor recommend this company. Super unprofessional to lie about the free quote too.

I called them for a simple plugged kitchen sink drain. The kitchen sink drain is connected to a cleanout connection that is located in the back of the house. The cleanout connection is a straight shot through the main drain to the street. The technician told me that it was a real bad stoppage and could not be cleaned out for $99. It would cost several hundred dollars.
He showed me where the water was pouring out of the drain connection from a hose he had in the sink. After I told him that I was a chemical engineer who designs oil refining equipment, including the piping systems, and gave him a hydraulics 101 lesson, he miraculously was able to run the snake from the connection down the line, and quickly cleared the line for $99. It was a real bait and switch operation. Get in the house, then up the price. We found a local guy who does it for $69, and is honest.

Wow. Trying to rip me off. Don't use these guys. I guess they have to pay for all the radio advertising. I operate restaurants, and in my life I've never seen a bill this high when we have issues at my restaurants. They are not looking out for the working class. $2,000 for something that another mom and pops plumber would charge $300 to $500.

Wish I read the reviews before threw $99 down the toilet. Oh wait, it wouldn't go down the toilet because they didn't unclog it. They said I needed the drain unclogged For $99 And the toilet sealed for $450. I said just unclog the drain. Well they not only did not unclog the drain but they charged me the $99. I called another plumber and they unclog the drain for $99 and sealed the toilet for $125.
I called Mike Diamond and told them I want a refund and they said we are so sorry I'll have a manager call you. guess what, no call back. This smell good company sucks and smells like crap. Do not call this company, call any other plumber.

If I could give a zero star review I would. Our kitchen sink was clogged, so we called for the 99dollar snake service. When the plumber showed up, he said that it would cost $220 for the service. And if we did want the 99dollar rate, he would not wait to see if the clog was actually cleared! What sort of service is that! How do you offer work if the plumber refuses to see if the snaking actually CLEARED THE CLOG. This was a huge waste of time. DO NOT CALL THIS SERVICE. its a sham.

I discovered that I had no hot water. I attempted to lite the pilot but it would not stay lit. I called for an appointment and was told someone would be out between 8-1 the following day. Later that day I received a call requesting to reschedule it for between 1-5 and I agreed to this. The next day, at 1:45 pm I received a call that the person scheduled to come out was not trained in water heaters and they could send someone out the following day. Needless to say, I cancelled the appointment and will never do business with them in the future.

SCAMM! They advertise $99.00 to snake any drain. The catch is the Tech will claim that he cannot get to the clog unless he cuts the pipe which costs $450.00. I declined the service. Next day my neighbor snaked it/cleared the clog for $50.00 (all-in). It took him 12min. (I watched) Based on the reviews this is common practice. This company appears to have no Integrity! Keep reading the other reviews, I'm not the only one.

I will not use this company again. I wish I would have read these reviews before scheduling with them. I had a kitchen sink clog, simple right? Nope. At first he said he couldn't open the pipe. When he finally got it open he had cracked the plastic cover. He was very careful to show me that the cover was cracked BEFORE he attempted to open the drain. Funny, if the cap was cracked before he messed with it, it would have been leaking.
So after he managed to clear the clog, he proceeded to explain that now he would have to cut the plastic cover and put it back on with a clamp. Long story short, cutting down the plastic cover and putting on a clamp cost me $198. He filled the sink with water and then took the plug out to show that it was draining. Great! Oh not so fast, now the garbage disposal is leaking!
He said it was leaking because of something we had done before he got there. Well, it wasn't leaking before. But, he offered to fix it. Really? I think not. Work of caution, do not use this company! They are misleading in their advertisement and unethical in their work practices.

Crooks, they wanted $1500 to replace a kitchen faucet. I laugh so hard and kick the plumber out.still they charge me $70 for 10 min time to give me an estimate.looking at the reviews not sure who would hire this Bubba, they are making it by charging $70 and their stupid commercials. Consumer protection office needs to investigate them and possibly start a class action law suite

This company over charge! We paid $1350 for 45 min under sink shut off valve replacement. Yes. We could've elect not to have them do the job but we were from out of town to fix the plumbing problem for our tenants. We were in a hurry to get it done. Save yourself trouble of having to get another quote and pay them trip charge on top of that.

Lies, lies, lies! Do not call these guys! They went to my parents home and went to their van to give us a quote. When they had to go to the van to quote us, I knew something was wrong! They came back and quoted us $1029 to replace parts. Long story short, a family friend came over and fixed everything for $10. They tried taking advantage of my older parents. SHAME ON THESE GUYS!

Yes, they smelled good. Showed up on time? Please. You have two choices; before 1 PM or After. So, with an arbitrary start time, of course they're on time. Except they even screwed that up. I called for a stopped tub drain. The guy came Friday 'after 1', couldn't unplug the drain, and told me he needed to schedule a supervisor to show up 'with a camera' on Monday, first thing. That's the last I heard of it.
I told my boss that I'd be staying home on Monday. So, I call early Monday morning to confirm the appointment. I was told that the appointment was set and he'd be by before 10. So I waited. and waited. and waited. Around 11 they called to tell me the guy called out sick and wouldn't be by. The manager didn't seem to care, and when he told me the guy was sick I said 'I don't care' -- and he laughed at me.
He actually laughed. Why don't I care that he's sick? Because 1) I had called to confirm, 2) they didn't bother to call me to say that he was sick until halfway through the day. That's poor management, not somebody being sick. Had they called earlier I'd have had no issue -- of course people get sick. But I felt like an afterthought. So, I rescheduled.
After thinking about it I called to cancel, and they tried to win my business. When they asked why I was going elsewhere i told them that I was treated poorly and didn't appreciate it. They hung up before I finished my sentence. This felt like the DMV. So, they have a 'no way to be late' policy, still managed to be late, laughed at me, and felt like a bunch of entitled pricks. Oh, the kicker?
A handyman with a smaller, Home Depot style snake cleared the drain for $50. Mike Diamond will smell good, show up when and if they want, and treat you like hot garbage. If you like that sort of thing, good on you. I'll go elsewhere.

Not a review writer, I have to be impressed or disgusted to take the time to do this, HOWEVER. This should never happen to a homeowner and I probably can't change it. Mike Diamond service was great and full of integrity in my first visit and I was impressed. On the second visit, a main line stoppage, I was put through a multiple person sales chain desiged to milk me out of $5,400 dollars.
They spent 3 hours "evaluating" my situation, . 1st guy is $99. But he can't get it he says, we need a camera in there. So he gets a supervisor over there with the camera rig. $350 and we can tell you what you need. After that, oh it's to dark, can't tell? $450 to pull a toilet and look. Final analysis was we don't know, but next step is dig up my yard and install an outside cleanout.
They rode that horse for an hour on the phone. "You need an outside cleanout" for $5400 total. Anyone charging me $450 to pull a toilet? I know who I'm dealing with. So paid them, thanked them and rented a home depot rig for $79 and had the clog out in about 20 min with setup and cleanup. (wet wipes, a whole ball) but my pro plumber took 3 hours, multiple people, and you can't pull out wipes? AND your licenced?
But this kills me, I got out of mine because I had a little experience to help me. This was a well oiled machine folks. They do this scam 3 times a day to people, . And I don't know what the solution is here, maybe try Home depot first? When I explained that home depot was my plan, The tech laughed at me, and told me if his pro equipment couldn't breach it? NO CHANCE rental equipment would. THEY PUT NO ELBOW GREASE INTO IT it was a scam job from minute one. Just FYI to the next guy.

My husband called Mike Diamond trusting that the company was an ethical organization which is how the company is promoted on the radio. What a joke! For a simple faucet repair we were quoted $645 dollars! What a rip off. Pathetic that there are still organizations out there who are taught to try and "screw" the customer. We declined the proposal and went with a plumber who charged us $150 for parts and installation. Mike Diamond should be ashamed.

BEWARE: My experience absolutely felt like a bait and switch situation. $99 drain cleaning magically became $198 despite the scheduler asking what floor my tenant's unit was on. What kitchen drain in an apartment on the 2nd floor has a clean out? Needless to say, I was very upset with this business tactic and expressed my displeasure with the company to the technician.
Since I had waited hours for Mike Diamond's people to show up and my tenant was expecting the problem to be handled, I had little choice but to proceed. Technician seemed to take my displeasure with their policy as a personal insult (which is unprofessional on his behalf in my opinion). I had to basically soothe his ego and say I wasn't annoyed with his company's policy to have him proceed which is highly ironic.
After the service I expressed my displeasure with mybexperience on Mike Diamond's "contact us" web page. It was followed with a harassing number (5 in less than 24 hours) of calls (maybe they were worried I would let other landlords and property owners know of my experience). I finally called back and spoke to their person who handles dissatisfied customers.
Rather than "handling" the problem, he was argumentative and accused me of "cursing out" the employee. Never happened and I let him know I had two employees resurfacing the balcony who witnessed my conversation with their technician and were both in earshot. He insisted that I had cursed his worker out despite my telling him I had not and that I had witnesses.
He said it didn't matter and that he would refund 1/2 my payment to make me happy. I told him at that point him accusing me of something I hadn't done made the refund a moot point and that I would make my experience known on sites like this. Since he was trying to bully and talk over me and refused to let me speak with a supervisor (he said he was the only person that could help me) and then he started laughing at me, I hung up on him.
He immediately called back and said he was the only person who could help me and continued to try to talk over me. I told him to keep his $99 as it wasn't worth it to me based on the TERRIBLE CUSTOMER TREATMENT from him, a customer service representative. This is my 1st and last experience with Mike Diamond. My experience was awful and my contact with their representative felt like I was dealing with a thug. There are "Bubbas" at Mike Diamond.

This company use bait and switch strategy. I called the company to do clear my drain. The plumber told me it would require a big rotor rooter to clear the main drain and will cost me $595. I am looking at sewer all over my place, I have no choice but to approve the work. He cleared the drain, the next day the place is full of sewer water again. The plumber came, back and now he said he had to use high pressure water jet, and it is going to cost another $895.
I refused to get it done. I have another plumber came later and he got it cleared for $85. I would rate this company zero star, but I have to give 1 star because that is the minimum rating to be able to post it.

So they claim to be 24 hours, 7 days a week. This is sort of true. We just called and told them our main drain is clogged. Its a Sunday. However, since they cannot locate a plumber, its going to cost $260 for an "emergency" plumber. Wait a second, I thought you just said you couldn't locate one? So you can, just for a price. DO NOT BE FOOLED by their ads. They are just like everyone else.

Called their 800 number and it took FOREVER to get their reception to understand the issue and take my name and address. Needed urgent plumbing but the only available appointment was next day - so we agreed to a first AM appointment. Only to be called at 7:30 by the plumber saying "we don't work on that model of water heater". Could have saved the trouble and bad review by hiring better people on the phones. Receptionist asked about the water heater brand and I told her - if she had said "oh call someone else we can't help you" that would have been fine.
When the plumber called to inform us he wouldn't fix the issue, he was rude when I asked "why" and told me he was a real plumber, not a receptionist and was irritated for giving free advice (the advice that they couldn't come). Nice first (and last) impression Mike Diamond.

They arrived on time and performed the snaking our guest toilet needed. Then he told us we needed several hundred dollars more worth of work done because the whole part in the basin was bad. We k we that couldn't be true because our usual plumber who was at another job, had recently replaced it. In the end our guy did it for $150, part included and, no, it was not the whole thing. We invited their plumber to stick around but he declined and took off as soon as my mom paid him. Never again.

I called Mike Diamond Services this morning after returning from several weeks of travel to find my toilet clogged. I received a prompt call, 5 minutes after my web inquiry (though I had requested contact preferred by email). Talking with the representative to schedule the service was OK. Lots of noise in the background making it difficult to hear at times.
She informed me that I would be looking at a plumber arriving between 9am and 1pm same day. Though this was a large window, I had called around and most others didn't have availability until late afternoon. I was quoted $99 for the service (others in the area were charging minimum $130). Side note: it would have been nice to receive some correspondence by email or text after the conversation so I know we're all on the same page and if I needed anything I could just text in or reference the email (most customers like things in writing). Dominique was the plumber.
He was nice and polite, donning his shoe booties for the rainy day (appreciate that!). He quickly assessed the issue and unclogged the toilet within 5 minutes of being onsite. He did, however, scratch the toilet bowl with the large device which is why I cannot give 5 stars. Comparatively, when looking online, this service was good and they got the job done. A couple details to ameliorate the experience would be worthwhile from this customer's perspective.

This is the second time I have called Mike Diamond Plumbing and BOTH times now I have gotten nothing but excellent experiences! The scheduling agent was polite and professional providing me with several appointment options. Prior to my appointment today, the dispatch service called to relay a half hour window for the service visit which allowed me time to clear away the area where the plumbing problem was.
My plumbing technician, David was courteous and very professional offering me a variety of service options and warranties. Quick. Efficient. Affordable. Professional. What more can I say? The specialists at Mike Diamond Plumbing are head and shoulders above the rest!

They're good, just not perfect. I've used Mike Diamond Plumbers before and their work was excellent. This time no one showed up on the date of the appointment. I called back and they apologized and we rescheduled for two days later. This time they showed up, did a great job, and charged me a fair rate for good work. I give them 3 of 5 stars only because they didn't make the first appointment or even call to inform me. Otherwise, I would give today's service a 5 out of 5.
