My boiler went out in the basement. They came by twice trying to figure out the problem. Saying they had to get parts and figure out what was wrong. Haven't been back since. I have called repeatedly and nobody gets back to me or follows up. They left my boiler disassembled looking like a mess for weeks. In the process now of trying to find someone else to fix it.

I called A-1 Comfort to check my sprinkler system for backflow testing. The first time, I was given an appointment, and Steve showed up as scheduled during the afternoon on the day of the appointment. In five minutes, Steve told me that one of the valves on the sprinkler system will need to be fixed and he will call me to set up a time to come out and fix it.
Everything is fine up until this point, but then three weeks go by and Steve never calls me back. It has been more than a month now and I have had no communication from Steve or his office. I reached out to his office three times but every time I was told that Steve would call me to set up an appointment and he never did. Steve took all the forms with him, so now I have to get the forms from the city again.
This guy and his company is so unprofessional and unresponsive and its extremely annoying. Looking at the other reviews, I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up at my doorstep to get money for the five minutes he spent at my house. Beware and stay away from this company and save yourself some peace and time.

Our AC went out on the Friday night on Labor Day weekend.not good in this heat. We made it through the night and I picked A-1 out of the phone book and called their number at around 7:15 am I really didn't expect an answer, but I got a live person on the phone who was really nice and didn't know at the time turned out to be the business owner.
He sent his son and son's nephew and got everything fixed quickly. We were so relieved that they fixed it.turned out not a major problem. Also not expensive! I would not hesitate to to call them again or to recommend this service to anyone in the Brazosport area. Or Beyond the area Very nice family owned business.very friendly to work with!

I CHOOSE NO STARS BUT THATS NOT AN OPTION. I would NEVER recommend them. Steve was the technician who randomly showed up at my house just because he was in the area. He got smart with me, raised his voice with attitude with my small children nearby and did unauthorized work without discussing with me which left me with a large bill. He is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND CAUSED ME TO BE LATE TO MY CHILD'S APPOINTMENT due to his negligence of knowing how to conduct proper business. CHOOSE SOMEONE ELSE!

Attitude towards customer was poor at best. Seemed very frustrated w me when part for Backflow testing was on backwards and I didn't want to pay $100 for him to fix it but instead wanted person who put it in backwards to fix it. He was there all but 5 min and charged me full Svc call. Next time he came out attitude was worse close to being rude. I was on conf call so my 16 yr old son stayed w him.
Guy said he explained how to turn sprinkler system back on to my son but reality was that my son had no idea what he was talking about and instead of asking me if I wanted my system turned back on, he left and when I called and asked them to come turn it back on, he refused saying he showed my son. So now I hav to hire someone to come out and do it because what he described to me on phone and what I saw in front of me was two different things and I don't want to turn on wrong thing and break it.
Never ever will I call this company again. I've never been treated so poorly by anyone servicing something in my house. If attitude had been better than everything else would hav become non issue

Stopped in to purchase an air conditioner capacitor. Had looked online first and prices were around $16-$25 The lady found one and told me it was $68. I was surprised and explained they were much cheaper online. She said that was their price. I didn't buy it, but went down the road and purchased one for $9.01 with tax. Seriously. If they can sell it that cheap they probably get it for like $2.5-$3. So a $59 difference. Very disappointed in A-1 for that kind of markup.

I only gave 1 star, because it doesn't allow me any other option! This company is a BIG two thumbs down! I contacted A1 Comfort back in October to test some devices at our senior citizen housing property. Steve, was the technician (owner) whom we dealt with. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE service. It took almost a month for him to come and test our devices.
I did not hear from him for almost a month after he "tested" our devices, so I called him on the 2nd of December. Come to find out, he could not find our paperwork! This was not acceptable since the city was threatening to shut off our water and we house senior citizens. NOT GOOD. It is now the 18th of December and Steve never came back to fix what he said is going to cost us "Thousands of Dollars." It was very hard to get ahold of Steve on the phone, for he doesn't return calls.
If you do get him on the phone, you feel rushed as his frustration is easily detectable. This is the WORST company that I've ever dealt with in the 10 years of my experience as a property manager. We just received another shut off notice from the city. Lane Plumbing promises to have this corrected within a week! Absolutely the worst Service & attitude in Oakland county. STAY AWAY, or get the run around for months!
