A & H Service

I used A&H Services nine years ago to install an AC unit in our home. It's still running strong. We call them annually for a checkup. Their staff is friendly and competent. I definitely recommend them highly. Service: HVAC system maintenance

Critical: Quality Had them come to fix a leak in the drip pan. The next day it got really hot in the house. Husband went up in attic found front cover of ac hanging off and cool air cooling the attic and it was still leaking. OMG by far my worst experience ever! I don't care how the owner Bill or Glenn answer my review because they will not be truthful. So I will speak the truth now. My house was built 10 years ago and my builder used A&H AC company. 5 to 6 years later my main unit in my house stopped working. I called the company and the gentleman came in and told me I needed a new unit and thinking how could this be possible?

I went on next-door.com and found another company to come and evaluate and it cost me $75 and all it was was a fuse. I will say though that the unit was leaking Freon from about five years old and has since been replaced( I was constantly adding Freon which you shouldn't have to do) The warranty was supposed to be for 10 years if the unit was registered but this company never registered it.

Approximately 5 to 6 years ago I put on an addition with the same builder and added 2 new zones and the builder used A &H once again. I told the builder to please make sure that the units were properly registered so I would be warranteed for 10 years on each and when I had a problem with one of the units last week A &H blew me off and told me it was my responsibility to register the units and it's in his contract.

I said I never had a contract it was between my builder and his company. His reply was then go to your builder and have him pay. The other thing I forgot to mention was is that we had an amazing plan for for our AC units when we first started building and Bill forgot all the add-ons and then it was too late. I have great reason to be unhappy because I will now absorb thousands of dollars once again!

You were never a pleasure to deal with and your customer care skills are awful. I am justified in writing this review and am shocked how you spoke to me! As of five years ago when I was told I needed a new unit by his employee I switched to another company who to this day has taking excellent care of me and has amazing customer service.

A&H Services will be the only AC company I'll use from now on! We used them to diagnose and then replace our AC unit, and from the beginning they were professional, courteous, efficient, and fairly priced. We've since had them complete other projects in our renovation process and each time they've been to our home, it's been a pleasure to work with everyone. Chris, Will, Ron and RJ are all wonderful - always on time, pleasant, knowledgeable, and efficient!

And they always leave the space cleaner than when they got there! I would recommend this company to anyone! Thank you Peter and A&H Services for the peace of mind you've given me!

A and H installed the a/c in my new home. Just before the 1 year warranty was up the system started blowing hot air. A and H came and seviced it with freon. He stated there was no leak and I need only use it more. It soon went off warranty and then they were able to find the leak. Big fat repair bill. Good con job! Don;t walk away run.

The best ac company south of the mason dixon line. Glen, Nancy, Chris, Peter and the crew are true professionals. you've tried the rest, now call the best!

I contacted A&H services and spoke to the receptionist who was very courteous. She then had Mr. Peter Horn call me with regard to an appointment and he was able to come to my home that afternoon. Mr. Horn answered all of my questions and took the time to explain to me why purchasing a Trane (even though not the cheapest unit available) would be the best.

After speaking with him, I had no doubts that the Trane was the best buy and I was confident in my purchase. There was no need to speak to any other representative due to the fact that I felt that Mr. Horn was honest and up-front. Mr. Horn then scheduled a day for installation. Two young gentleman, Chris and Bryant came to my house. I was very impressed that they were on-time, since we all know that this rarely, if ever happens. ( I told Mr. Horn that this was important since I had to go to work).

They were polite and very professional. Chris explained to me all of the details about what he was going to do and the actual operation of the unit. Approximately one hour after that, Mr. Horn came to my home to make sure everything was ok and going well. This really impressed me.

I am writing this review as a third party observer. While at a social event I had the opportunity to get acquainted with the owner of A&H services Glen Aho. The thing that got my attention was a phone call he took from one of his workers in the field. He stated very clearly to his technician to do what every it takes to make the system right keep the customer happy.

It was obvious he was not going to make money on that call but it was important to him that the customer was happy. I wish I could call the company that installed my AC and have the confidence they would treat me like that.

Bottom Line: Don't Use A&H for anything complicated because they are incompetent and cost me extra thousands of dollars. At one time I had them install a new AC system in one of my houses and had a maintenance agreement on both. This was fine. But recently, the air handler coils were freezing over. So on 6/12/14, 6/19/14, 8/11/14 and at least 2 other occasions I have had a variety of their team trying to identify the problem.

They couldn't find the leak, so they changed parts under warranty ( for a $1000 because of Freon). It still kept happening. One of the guys(Nixon) even said can't find the leak, so I said, so all we are waiting for is for it to do it again and me to call you, and he laughed. Then the next guy came(Flavio), couldn't find the leak and said someone would be here in the morning.

No that didn't happen, I was expecting somebody to arrive, and they didn't call, so I called and they couldn't fit me in. Didn't care, didn't care to call, and this is Florida and by the way it is hot. So pissed off after spending extra $250.00 on my FPL bill every month for the last 6 months, wasting hours of my time (way over $100/hour) I called somebody else, CMI.

That guy came and said that the outside condenser always leak here( in fact they changed the design because it was bad), then he did some simple pressure test and said a valve was bad. Fixed it perfect, no time at all. A&H cost me extra thousands because of their incompetence. Please find somebody else.

Glenn and Peter have installed and maintained my Trane unit since I moved into this house in 2001. Their service is excellent - personal and professional. I've had NO problems with my unit and they were prompt, knowledgable AND affordable. Thanks guys for keeping me cool!
