This company is nothing but scammers!. Keith the manager never returns your calls. They charged me for work and told me they will reimburse me when they file a claim with the Home warranty company. They took the money and never filed a claim on my behalf. Been trying for over a week to get a hold of Keith and Carlos the technician to see an update but they will not respond after leaving numerous messages. Go with another company.they are nice in person but scammers

Brian & Carlos arrived in the time frame I was given and worked quickly and effeciently cleaning the ducts and vents. They were both super nice and friendly. Brian noticed an issue with the way my dryer venting was connected when he was cleaning it, that would have led to issues in the future. There was a lot of lint built up in the wall. He was able to fix the issue during the appointment. I'm very happy with the service and price. I will definitely use them again.

On 8/24 my air conditioning unit went out. It would of course on the hottest week of the year. I called JTR, one because they are local and two I've used them several times before. Bonnie was on it. Even though she informed me they were on a big job, she made it happen. A big thank you to Scott who is the same tech From before. He came and thankfully he was able to repair it. Had to get the a/c looked at 2 months ago, had issues getting in tech here, when we lined up the repair I was told they couldn't find the paperwork for the install, for warranty purposes I was advised I'd have to pay for the initial call and if they found the paperwork I'd get reimbursed. That didn't sit well with me 1st trip, wrong a coil was ordered, 2nd trip, had a appmnt for 1200 took a half day off, they showed up at 3 30, was told the crew was backed up with a previous appmnt they did stay and repair the unit but then I found out I owed for freon, 500.00. Wasn't happy, the manufacturer doesn't cover freon loss even if their part fails.

I would never have them back at my house As of 8/29 we have had to pay out 825.00 for a leak check by another company, and are now paying another 2200.00 to just replace the outside unit due to leaks. 2 years ago we paid 5300.00 for the furnace and outside a/c, we still owe 2567.00, and have paid about 1200.00 in repairs, lost freon etc so total we will be invested 7700.00 just in equipment with no help or support from jtr because they changed their policy, and wouldn't do what they were supposed to do with the maintenance contract. We are now contacting payne/Carrier corporate to see if they will help us in some way.

Our furnace died and we had to get it replaced. They came out same day to inspect and see what the problem is, it was a repair that wasn't worth the bandaid so we had to replace. JTR is the best, it was done quickly in a few days and Nick did a great job, everything works well and the new furnace is much quieter and more efficient than our old one! Thanks JTR for making a crappy situation a bit better!

After having some self repair gone wrong, John and the guys came right away to assess the issues. The JTR installers began the project the next day. The employees were very polite, professional and completed our project in a timely manner. Every other company I called was busy or couldn't come until next week. John showed up same day and had repair beginning the next day. We are so thankful for prompt and professional services received by JTR and will continue to use their service in the future! Thank you JTR.

I came home to my thermostat not working on the coldest day so far this fall. JTR came out and was able to get me all set. I had done most of the work, but missed a button that needed to be pressed, and it was done at no charge!

Had them out to inspect working system, needed paperwork for house sale. Jerry said 89.00 for furnace and 89.00 for a/c system and I agreed. Charged me 167.00 for a capasitor that sells on amazon for 15.78, same brand as the one they took out. Also charged for a pound of R-22, 117.50. Total bill was 463.00. Feeling ripped off and over charged I called Jerry, he asked my address and said he would get back to me and never did. Very disappointing.

Great people to work with, best pricing in the area. They installed a special order unit that handled our -30 degree weather without a struggle. The install team did an excellent job installing and clean up afterwards. Had an issue with an operating cycle, I called service they were out to my house within 30 minutes reprogrammed the furnace and that's all it took. I highly recommend JTR for all your HVAC needs.

Furnace needed cleaning/tune up and technician explained what needed to be done and recommended yearly tune-ups to keep it at peak performance. Professional, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. Asked them to come back and check air conditioner when weather gets warm.

I wish they had negative stars. We have had a bad experience with this company. We had our appointment set for between the hours 12-4 PM. After not hearing from the Tech or anyone we called to confirm 3 times after the tech was late. We were of course not notified we had to call. My husband spoke with the tech and told him he didn't have to come today, he understood that he was tired from his last call.

He also explained what our issues were so he knew what he was dealing with. The tech told him no problem and came. The tech showed up 3 hours late at 7pm. He was obviously irritated when he arrived. He began work and after about an hour he began re wiring our unit without informing us prior to beginning so of course we had to let him continue since we didn't know what he had done.

Also he wasn't really sure what he was doing because his boss had to walk him through every step on the phone. When he finished doing as much as he could he could us he wired the unit so we would have air but not heat. My husband Inquired about this and asked about next steps. He as the guy to call his boss so he could see when they could come back to fix it.

Upon my husband attempting to ask the question the boss cuts him off saying"we're not going to argue about the price". My husband nor myself had not at any time even ask about the price other than the initial call. My husband said I'm not sure what you mean but I was just asking when you could come back. Then the boss starts backtracking after he made an ignorant assumption, and tried to be nice saying" I just want to get my tech home " as if he was kidnapped.

We then asked the cost and though our initial quote was 89.00 it had now ballooned to 239.00 Of course when you just do whatever. We paid the money without arguing and let the young man, who didn't speak when he came in by the way but wanted to shake hands when he left. I understand irritated and tired but this is the job. We didn't make you take it and tried to reschedule after YOU were late.

For us to receive the treatment we did was uncalled for and since HE bought up cost we know you charged us overtime for your tech coming 3 hours late which he could have rescheduled when we talked to him Tech ms name was Connor Boss name was Jeff. Never will I call them again even though we now have to pay someone else to fix the mess they made and charged us for.

I called the JTR Heating and Air to come and work on my walk-in cooler, the gentleman that came to the store started working and trying to diagnose the issue. He then called Jeff and was asking him questions. Then Jeff asked where he was and he gave him the store location and Jeff says, "make sure you bring some money back from there." The gentleman working immediately says your on speaker.

I questioned Jeff's comment and the technician says, "I am an honest worker and don't listen to that." He started working and only had half a tank of MO99 and needed more. They charged my more money bc they had to have another person bring another tank of MO99. Overall to put 20lbs of freon I was charged $1,5xx. It took 6 hours to work on the compressor. I would recommend you not to work with JTR Heating and Air. The technician seemed okay but the boss is the one that seems shady.

I had a terrible experience with JTR and would definitely not recommend them to anyone. Yesterday, they came out per my request to have our air conditioning tuned up. We have never had any problems with our system prior to JTR coming out. As soon as they left, my air conditioning stopped working. I called for resolution and they sent Fidel back out again today.

After over an hour of working on the air, I was told that the contact was now broken and that I would be charged an additional $ 349. I was challenged by this because I didn't have any problems until JTR tuned up my air conditioning. They insists that my air challenges had nothing to do with their negligence, just a coincidence that the part went bad the same they they worked on it?

Hard to believe. Although they came down on the price it was something we should not have had to pay due to their error. I think there is definitely a lack of skill, care for the customers and integrity with JTR. Steer clear of this company.

JTR Heating & Air came to my house a few weeks ago to service my air conditioner. They did a great job. The technician was courteous and explained everything he was doing. He did a very thorough job and I am extremely satisfied with the overall service performed. My air conditioner is working at top notch and I couldn't be happier. I will definitely be calling them back for the fall service.

Pat and Brian installed a new heating unit in my home during that very cold, cold weather! They were very efficient and neat. The customer service I received was wonderful. The girls and guys were just great!

Air conditioner went out and had to get the Freon recharged which cost about $300. Worked fine for about 5 days and then went out again. Got charged another $89 for a revisit and was told that the capacitor AND the compressor were out. Jerry, the manager, told me the best thing to do was to get a new A/C unit and that would run $3500. Something smelled fishy so I called my A/C guy that I use for my properties downtown to drive out to Park Forest to check the unit out.

He replaced the capacitor ($100 fix) and the unit worked just fine. The beautiful part of the story is Jerry and his crooks at JTR still charged me the $89 for the second diagnostic though they were completely wrong by about $3400 in their diagnosis. It is unfortunate considering I have multiple rental properties and wanted to give my business to a local provider.

Response to the owner: Notice how not once in the response did they address the lie by the tech that the compressor was burnt and that I needed a $3500 new unit instead of replacing an $80 capacitor. Not surprised by the "blame the client" response of this business. Par for the course. In addition, I keep having Jerry call me every couple weeks to see if "I had made a decision" on the new unit they quoted me. I keep having to remind him that I'm the guy they tried to rip off.

I first used JTR a few years ago after being "stood up" by another HVAC company when my AC quit - you know, waiting hour after hour for someone to come in a 4 hour interval, then having them never come. Since then, I have had JTR out to my house in Crete a number of times for service on my furnace and maintenance on both the AC and furnace. They are prompt and nice when they come.

I usually can get an appointment the same day. The one time that the repair was not complete (a faulty capacitor was installed), they returned the very next day and fixed the furnace for free. I will continue to use them and refer them to friends and family.
