I called in to schedule a repair for an upstairs unit installed by ACS, it was - I discovered under warranty and per my trusted HVAC company (Arch Services, a honest, transparent company) the warranty could be "voided" if someone other than ACS does repairs on warrantied parts. Grudgingly, I called about the information my wife had been given, the dispatcher ( a real life confederate Karen) advise that they charge 112$ to come out and cost of "repairs", warranty not withstanding.
I called to clarify, as it would be expected that warranty parts are just that- under warranty. She subsequently "clarified" the charge for "labor". and went on to give an example, stating that if the part cost 3 or 400$, then the labor cost is then decided, and it could still cost $400. I ask you don't have a set labor/hour fee? She said it depends on the part, cost.
In other words, the warranty is voided because they inflate the labor cost as needed. She got angry, and in typical "Karen" fashion certainly relayed the contentious conversation ( which she initiated) to Rick ( a like minded sophisticate) who emailed my wife to cancel the appointment. A hurt dog will bark! It must have been the comment about voiding the warranty by inflating the labor.
We didn't "want" to do business with them but was advised by a trusted company to do otherwise could void our warranty. hence the call to the ACS, or American Confederate Soldiers which would be a more appropriate acronym. These people are social fossils. they don't even "pretend" there. I guess Trump has created a renewed "boldness". Rick, the south won't be rising again.
Please get over it! You lost the war and the election. But I digress. Avoid this company unless you are ok with mediocrity and poor customer interaction. I hope my warranty isn't restricted. I don't care about the racial bias ( lying to General Lee, I mean Rick) but at least give the appearance of not being racist. So much for political correctness.

We moved into our first home 3.5 years ago. ACS has come out every 6 months since to do our maintenance and has always been incredibly thorough. I always know things will be left at the highest standards when they pull away. We had a mini split system installed in our outdoor room 1.5 years ago and it has worked like a dream! Grateful to have a company we can trust and rely on.

Jane Peavy - I had surgery and when I came home my air went out. ACS provided us with a portable unit and worked four straight days to put a temporary fix on until they could locate the part they needed. We are very grateful and couldn't ask for a better company. I found this company in 2001 after two other vendors were unable to fix my system. Somehow, they managed to keep my system alive and kicking for 19 years. They seem to retain staff as many I saw year after year. I am nowhere near wealthy, so their skillset has been deeply appreciated. My system is not up to environmental codes, so this year I was finally ready and able to invest in a new system.
The sales team worked with me to pick the right system for my budget and need. They listened, were respectful and patient. No hard or long sell from Josh, which I very much appreciated. The installers were fabulous. They provided great instructions, were timely and efficient, and their clean-up was spotless. This is a class A company. Diverse too!

I've had this company come to my home twice for quotes. While they were timely and the technicians seemed knowledgeable, the prices are a lot higher than competitors- for the exact same unit. I'm all about supporting small businesses but not when the cost is 25%-50% more than other companies. Shop around. If the price is right, they are probably a good company to go with.

Josh Pinson and his crew at ACS are excellent in every aspect. They are always very responsive and cordial. I've been using ACS for about 13 years now. I have never had a bad experience. They don't try to oversell you, but do explain your options and the best deal that may work for you. I, mistakenly, had Montcreif come out once. The technician wasn't a bad person, but did say that they would not likely service my unit again as it had run it's course and would be out of compliance next time it needed something.
He was trying to get that sale of a new unit rather than help me maintain a still well-operating unit. Well, it needed something today. I called ACS, going back to my old faithful. I had an appointment by 10am same day! My technician, Nick was fantastic! Courteous, professional, kind and knowledgeable. I got a great price and therefore got the maintenance program for the remainder of the life of the unit.
He even was able to detect that a neighborhood mutt had been doing his #1 on my unit threatening the integrity! When I do need a new unit, which won't be too far down the road, ACS will be getting that business. Thank you ACS for hiring excellent techs that truly represent the quality of your company. I also told Nick that I'm proud to support a family-run business during these challenging times (covid). I'm sorry I cheated on you and it will never happen again. LOL.

I was very pleased with ACS from the call for service to the finished job. Aaron took the call & was real pleasant & set me up an appt. This was the 1st place I called & didn't get an answering machine. Matt while enroute to let me know he was on the way. On arrival Matt was professional, courteous, knowledgeable & assured me he would get my AC going again. He promptly trouble shot it & gave me a reasonable price before promptly finishing the repairs. I highly recommend ACS Air conditioning.

ACS Heating & Air Conditioning was awesome to deal with. I had multiple problems with my system that included a circuit board and also a blower problem. They did a great diagnosis and gave me an accurate and timely quote to fix it or replace it. They also gave me the pros and cons of whichever decision I made. I really appreciated their concern for my expenses.
I decided to fix the problem and they came out promptly and had it running smoothly in one day after I gave the order. I would recommend ACS to anyone looking for a trustworthy company.

We have used ACS for regular maintenance of our HVAC systems for years, and just purchased a new system for one that finally required replacement. The ACS team did a great job not only installing the new system, but also re-working some ducts and vents that had never been done properly since the house was originally built nearly 30 years ago. As a result, the cooling is consistent and comfortable across all rooms for the first time. The installation technicians really took the time to do it right, and we are very happy with the result. Highly recommended.

My 27 year old AC died on Memorial Day weekend. It was a good run, but time for a new system (including a new furnace). A couple of friends had highly recommended ACS. Joe Pinson came for the estimate and spent by far the most time discussing my options and expectations for the new system. He asked a ton of questions to determine what my needs were.
I got two other quotes from big Atlanta companies. Both spent less than 15 minutes at my house and both offered the same thing: the cheapest system they had (and told me "that's all you need"). Living in a top floor condo (heat rises!) I really felt I needed a bit more. At least give me more than one option, but nope. The lowest bid from ACS was on par with the other companies (for a larger unit).
I opted for a more efficient model - which was a little more. This is a serious investment and ACS took me and my needs seriously. Installation was quick and professional (thanks guys!) and I couldn't be happier.

I couldn't disagree more with the previous reviewer. My A/C was not blowing cold. I called and got scheduled for a service call three days later. Tech to show up between 12 & 5. I called at 3:45 to make sure there were no issues. I was told that I was next up as soon as the tech finished his current job. The tech called at 4:55 to tell me he was on his way from Dunwoody which at that time of day on Friday to my intown Atlanta neighborhood would be at least a 40 minute drive on top of his estimated 45 - 60 minute service at my house.
Now we are talking close to 7PM before this is over. No thanks. He called back to tell me some other tech was going to be in my area Saturday (although they usually do not do weekend work unless it is an emergency) and could stop by my house around 1PM. After sitting around all Friday afternoon I was not about to do the same thing on Saturday. Also, at 4:50 I called the ACS office (just before the tech called me) to see if a tech was actually going to show up today by 5PM.
The voice recording told me they were closed for the day but there office hours are supposed to be until 5PM. Did business with them before and found them to be like all other HVAC companies. Nothing bad, nothing outstanding. But, they are no longer an outfit I'd call for service.

I called ACS first thing this morning after my A/C went out last night. Their technician came out a few hours later and was very direct and honest. He remedied our minor problem quickly and even checked a few other things to make sure no other problems popped up. They are not the cheapest heating and air company out there, but they are fast, professional, and get the job done in an expedient manner. This is the second time we have used them and when a need arises, we will use them again.
