The reputation in these reviews is very good but I would not recommend them. I spoke with multiple people there and put my requested work in writing, but they did not communicate with each other at all, so I had the same conversation with each person. Each conversation felt like the first time I was contacting them. When they visited my house they ignored the work I'd requested, so they had to go back again.
When the scheduler contacted me he mentioned that he'd have to visit the house a third time to figure things out, but he never contacted me or my tenant. Just all around unprofessional and bad business.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Value II called to get a heating technician to look at my furnace and they sent a teenage girl who doesnt know a thing about furnaces she couldnt tell me what was wrong instead she said" we can yak all day like idiots about what is wrong" DONT DO BUISNESS WITH THEM THEY SEND AMATURES EVEN I KNOW VAGUELY WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE FURNACE

I had an appointment on April 15th 2022 with Jason for an AC cleaning and an estimate on a new unit. My window for that day was between 12 and 4pm. When it was 4pm and no one showed and I received no phone call, I decided to call and find out what was up. I spoke with the answering service and they told me that he was still coming and would be in touch with me shortly. Well Jason never called and never showed up. I will never use this company again because they apparently do not think my time is important.

I contacted Phillips heating after a terrible experience with another company. The person who answered my call was very kind and understanding. I had no heat and they had a technician to me in less than 30 min. I knew the unit needed replaced and the technician was helpful with setting up financing options and the team was there to replace my unit the next day.
The guys were very professional and did an excellent job with installation. Two days later there was can issue with one of the tubes which caused the unit to shut down (not their fault but the tube collected air). Even though it was after hours on a Friday night, they had an emergency technician out that night to fix the glitch and followed up with me to make sure everything was working properly. Thank you so much Kevin and crew, every person I had contact with was genuine and compassionate and that's hard to find! I highly recommend Phillips!

I am editing my initial review; Today is November 19 2021 (6 months after Phillips came to install my new high energy furnace, and central air compressor) My entire experience with Phillips was incredible! My new furnace, and compressor went in, in April of 2021. I have had and entire season of extreme heat, and now frigid cold. I'm shocked! My central air system worked incredible through the summer, and I never had an electric bill above 90 dollars a month, keeping the air on all day at around 72 which is comfortable for me.
So without ONE window air conditioner, I only used one in my living room -and my entire house being cooled, my bill only increased 20 dollars a month. That is awesome! Window air conditioners are SO expensive to run. Move to winter. I keep the furnace on 68 degrees without altering it or messing with it. I have done no outside insulation. My house has stayed so warm!
I use to have to turn my heat up to 78-80 degrees with the old furnace which was NOT high efficiency. My Bill has dropped by easily 50 percent keeping it much lower, and staying so warm! I'm shocked. I sincerely didn't think this high efficiency was going to make that much of a difference. I can only imagine what it's going to be once I do some small detail work insulating around windows and doors.
I never thought my house would stay warm at 68 degrees on the thermometer. I just did what they told me to do. This by far is the BEST investment I made in my property, and I am so happy I chose Phillips. You guys, thank you so much! I refer you to everyone. I highly recommend Phillips and will be using them for all of my future HVAC needs. They clearly explained what they were doing at every step of the process of replacing my furnace, gave me accurate estimates, did a great job at a reasonable price, and were very pleasant to communicate with. I first contacted them when I was considering buying a home that needed the furnace replaced.
It was obvious that there was an issue with the intake of the previously installed system, but the intake was difficult to locate. After I purchased the home, Jim took the time to do a thorough search of my vent system to try and locate the intake in order to give me as accurate an estimate as possible for replacing the system. It became clear that we wouldn't be able to locate the intake of the previous system until it was removed, and Jim explained what work would likely need to be performed once the intake was located.
He also provided me with several options to choose from for the replacement furnace, and clearly explained the differences and advantages of each model. On installation day, once the previous system was removed and the intake was located, Ian and Mike did a really nice job of transitioning the previously installed ductwork to make sure that the front panel of the new furnace can be easily accessed for future servicing, and of making necessary adjustments to the intake so that the issues that arose in the previous unit would not occur in the new unit. I have nothing but good things to say about the entire process.

Phillips installed a new high efficiency furnace for us at a reasonable price as well as removed our old furnace. They were extremely prompt with communication and the installation was fast, with a thorough cleanup. The crew explained everything we needed to know about furnace maintenance etc and even repaired some ducts that had rusted through at no extra charge which was very thoughtful. I was expecting a much longer wait time but was relieved by how quick and efficient this entire process was.

They installed a replacement AC system in my condo. It was complicated by the fact that the compressor is on the roof and required a large crane. The estimator was able to apply creative solutions to keeping the cost under control and getting the job done on schedule. I had spoken to other HVAC firms and found the pricing very fair. The insallation crew was on time, polite, and kept everything clean. The system works as described.

This company ONLY cares about making money they cons people into buying low quality equipment at above market pricing. They refuse to pay their employees, dirty people. Do not get scammed by this company I wouldn't let them touch a match let alone my furnace. They're over priced and prey on old people, and people who have been with them for years.
I have 10 years in the industry and have worked for a few companies, NEVER have I worked somewhere so deplorable. I would recommend just about any other company out there. The only reason they have this many good reviews is because they bribed customers for them(illegal). I really hope this reaches some people.

Highly recommend Phillips Heating and Air Conditioning! We hired a contractor who kept on saying that his HVAC guy would be coming any day. We became very concerned because my son had to move into the house in less than four days. So we decided we needed to find a new HVAC professional and called and left a message with Phillips Heating and Air Conditioning. Jim Phillips was very responsive and called us the next day.
He then came the following morning to look at our HVAC system and advise us on what needed to be done. He was so professional, helpful and very thorough and we greatly appreciated all the time he spent with us. We will definitely use Phillips for all your HVAC and air conditioning needs.

Eric is always professional and courteous when he comes to the house to perform the twice annual maintenance. Very honest and always informs us of any issues or concerns. He has been coming to service our AC and Furnace since it was installed and we have never had an issue with any of the services. Highly recommend Phillips. Very pleased

I received 2 separate quotes for AC and Furnace. Both of mine were old and I was acting in advance of anticipated problems. The quotes for each ranged in price and also reflected their efficiencies according to market data. The quotes were good numbers based on my research. 2 separate teams showed for each install. All work was completed in 3 days.
Both teams were respectful and courteous towards me and my home. They explained all the work. They were in and out. I would recommend Phillips as an HVAC provider for equipment and ongoing service and maintenance. I was an existing customer using Phillips for service and maintenance.

We always request Wes since he has been our tech since we started using Phillips. He is exceptional and a great problem solver when there is an issue with our system. We called Phillips to put in mini splits for our 3rd floor because it is chronically 10-20 degrees warmer up there. The tech came out, discovered that out crazily DIY HVAC system put in by the previous owner actually had a built in solution already, showed us the solution, fixed it for us (at no cost), then told us he was happy to put in a mini split if we still needed one but he didn't think we did. I cannot say enough about the honesty of this company. We would hire them (for pay!) in a heartbeat, but didn't need their services this time around.

I've had great experiences with all the Phillips techs who have serviced our aging furnace and a/c systems, and we've bought several annual service agreements to help save on the visits we know they'll need to make. Every tech has explained what the problem is / was, what he did to fix it, how much longer we might get from our current installation and what are small things they / we can do to help it be more effective. We're currently pricing new equipment and installation, and I won't be surprised if Phillips provides the best bid.

I signed a service contract to have furnace/AC checked twice a year. I was given an appt. for AC check between hours noon and 3:30 on Thursday. At 2:45 they called to postpone my appt. because they were running behind. The soonest they were able to reschedule me was the following Tuesday between 8:30 and noon. At 8:45 Tuesday, they called to tell me that they were not sure if they they could keep the appt. again.
They rescheduled me for Friday in the afternoon without giving me a choice of morning or afternoon. We have used Phillips for over 20 years in two different houses. Our service in Mt. Washington was good, but the North Hills location is lacking. I will never use this company again.

I had them install my furnace and was so pleased the next year I had them install central air. I had one problem over a weekend when my furnace wouldn't start. (switching from a/c to furnace) and a repairman came without complaint. There was a small issue with the a/c install that was discovered on the yearly check. The repairman was honest and fixed the issue and didn't charge me for the yearly check. They made it right! So happy to see a company accept responsibility for a problem they could easily cover up.
