Nothing but issues since day 1. When we moved into our new house (new construction), we found water in our basement surrounding our furnace. Called our builder who contacted A-1 and they were all over it. I had a service appointment set for the next day. The service tech was a super nice guy who has been with the company a long time. He thought he fixed the issue and left. 24 hours later we had more water, so I called the tech back.
He came back over and knew what the issue was and fixed it. Another day passes. And even more water. Tech comes back and feels dumb that it was something so simple after all this run around. Fixes it again, so he thought. More water. And a loud clanky outside unit. I get a call from the tech that they are going to replace the entire condenser unit.
I told him I wasn't comfortable with the Carrier brand after this start and wanted it out. He couldn't authorize this. So I said I need to speak with someone about our warranty and future parts a labor warranty options before a new unit is installed. He said ok and someone would call me from the office. I got a call the next morning and returned the call within 5 minutes. Got transferred to the woman's voicemail and left a message.
Never heard back. I called again the next day. Still nothing. 3 days later the tech installed a new condenser unit. I talked to the tech several times about not hearing from anyone. He promised me a call that day. And then again the next day. And once again the next day. No calls. I called and reached a call center after hours. They took all my info and i explained I was still waiting to hear from anyone.
About the warranty. She said someone would call me the next business day. Didn't happen. Funny how they have all these notes about calling within 10 days to set up a warranty but won't actually answer calls or call me back. Not impressed. I want out of A-1 and Carrier. Am I stuck?!
