This is my second year having their maintenance agreement. Though I was skeptical at first that they would give good professional service for the price of the agreement, I must admit that to date, I have been pleased with the service and the professionals they send out. Services: HVAC duct & vent cleaning, A/C system maintenance

The work was done quickly and the technician was courteous, however, it only took about twenty minutes for him to fix the problem and the bill was $254, not counting the part he had to replace. I wondered if he had to go to Medical School for a minute, but I guess not. Doctors don't charge that much. Service: Repair HVAC

Years ago United Heating and Air came to our rescue after bad experiences with other companies. They have been wonderful to us for almost 10 years now. We had them replace our ac and they have done maintenance on it every year since. Everyone is professional and wonderful to talk to. Service: A/C system repair

John, you technician called about what time he would be there, and was right on time. He did a great job; above and beyond most of the service calls I have observed. Give this guy a raise before he either starts his own business or moves on to someone who'll pay him what he's worth. Thanks John, for a great job! Services: Heating system maintenance, Heating system installation, Thermostat installation, HVAC duct & vent cleaning, HVAC system maintenance, A/C system maintenance

Jack was tech servicing a/c semi annual check up. Very cordial and polite - told me what he was going to do and proceeded to perform service. Thought his attention was above average. One suggestion. Bottom pan of a/c unit has some leaves and debris - probably should have taken top screen off unit and vacuumed / cleaned out.

I get the spring and fall maintenance for my ac/heating units. My technician was so polite. He cleaned and checked my units with care. I am happy with the service and I get peace if mind knowing I will have working units no matter the season. Services: Ductless heating and AC services, HVAC maintenance

John the technician came out to our home for a routine maintenance. His service was beyond exceptional. He was very meticulous in the way he performed services at our home. He found a very small issue on our outside unit and fixed it in no time flat. I strongly recommend him for all of HVAC needs. If there is a raise or bonus to be given, John is very deserving of it. Thanks John!

Do not purchase a home warranty from this company because they're more worried about new construction than servicing existing customers! We purchased a house and were told to contact United for the semi annual service because it was already paid for. When I contacted them to set up the service they asked if I wanted to take over the warranty and told me a little bit about what the warranty covered.
I asked them to send me something in writing or via email so that I could review it with my husband. I also shared with them that there were several rooms including bedrooms that had a temperature difference and we needed that fixed and looked at. They never sent the warranty information so I had to contact them again and requested. Then I went ahead and signed up for the warranty and paid the fee to have it transferred.
The house is only two two years old. I was told that the guy who would do the service could look at the hotspots and probably fix it the same day he did the service. When the service guy showed up and I told him he immediately told me he'd have to put in a work order and that someone would call me the next day to schedule it. He explained that they would probably have to move some ducts around in the attic.
No one called me the next day so I contacted them first thing Monday morning and was told after being transferred twice and no one explaining why they were transferring me just asking me to hold that they could come out in December it is now October. The person I spoke with was extremely rude and talked to me as if I didn't understand the the service technician and told me "I'm sure that's what he was telling you" as if she was here and heard the conversation.
I also was told that the delay in having someone come out is due to new construction and the technicians that would have to come to do the work are backed up and working on new construction. So it sounds to me like this company is money hungry and more worried about new construction versus servicing people that paid for warranties not to mention charging new customers to transfer the warranty.
They make it seem like there's not a manufacture warranty on the unit and that you have to have their warranty in order for parts to be covered. I would think as a company you would want to service your existing customers especially with new construction taking 8 to 9 months which I am aware of because we almost built instead of buying existing. Very rude and matter-of-fact people answering their calls not to mention the multiple transfers to different areas is very frustrating!

The Tech. assigned was Paul H. Paul was most knowledgeable, very skilled and displayed exceptional abilities. Paul was very courteous and professional. Paul explained in great detail the tasks to be performed and performed them exceptionally. I feel Paul is a great asset to United Heating & Air as he represented them with great professionalism. United was amazing, starting with Cody that came out and gave us an estimate, the price was within my budget on what we needed. I love the service people that come out to service our unit in the spring and fall. No issues at all. I have also recommended them to friends and they used United as well. I did get estimates from other companies as well but United was the best in all that they were doing. The sales and service with United is great. I will never use another company. Honest good people who are local!

If you want to be scammed then this is the place for you! I had my unit serviced on Feb 2019 and was told the reason why my unit wasn't coming on was due to my motor fan needing to be replaced. I paid the $1600 for the new fan and two weeks later I was without AC. I called United since my fan was covered under a 1 year service warranty. United sent the same tech out and he proceeded to lie and tell me that it wasn't my motor but It had a leak instead!
The gentleman had looked at my outside unit countless times! So how do you miss a leak? Once the tech tells me it would be ANOTHER $1500 for a new line I was done. I told the tech I wasn't interested in anymore dealings with United, so he starts to offer a jug of Freon for $200 to make me feel better. What's the point of adding Freon if I have a leak? I Just had to purchase a new unit so I'm beyond pissed after paying almost $2000 to fix the old unit. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Still hot! Came out for a service call, charged $300 for freon, which 24 hours later again it's 79 degrees in the house. Call united back and guess what? There is a leak, which they still haven't found. They are wanting to charge again for Freon because it all leaked out, which it wouldn't have if they would have investigated the complaint the first time and found the leak prior to putting gas in it! Scam company, do not let them just place gas in without first proving they have fixed the leak. I'm so mad, and STILL HOT!

Alert! alert! do not hire united heating & air in montgomery al! if you do you would be very sorry! two months ago they came to my house to replace a new coil at the attic, and they charged us more than double of the price (even though it was a free replacement unit under manufacture warranty) as compared to the price of other companies in town. two months later, the same ac unit was not cooling again, we got them back to diagnose the problem, . this time they said they found the outside unit was leaking and it cannot be repaired, and we must replace the entire unit for a quoted price between $4350 and $5,600. however, we had another ac and heating company's diagnosis and that it can be repaired at a minimal cost as opposed to united heating pricing. i was sad and truly feel that we have been ripped off by united heating & air despite we are their long time loyal customer in the last 4 years.
