We had a strange initial seasonal AC tune-up appointment with one of their technicians (who I'm pretty sure they let go shortly after) - and when we told them about it, they went out of their way to rectify the situation. They scheduled us an immediate follow-up and sent one of their longest-tenured pros over to soothe our concerns. Specific shoutout to David, said long-tenured pro.
We had an AC refrigerant leak, one of the most annoying possible issues - David walked us through how they were going to get to the bottom of it, was incredibly detailed, answered all our questions and helped keep our repair costs reasonable. He also noticed a totally separate issue with our water heater being non-compliant with code - and fixed that for us as well, for a minimal cost. We're very happy with how Manwill took action to make our experience with them better. We'll be sticking with them moving forward.

I spent over $10,000 with Manwill in 2020 for a new AC and Heater. Last Summer (2021) we had a raccoon problem and they tore a large amount of the insulation off the copper line of our AC unit on the roof. Last month I had Manwill come out & do a routine AC tune up & the tech was nice enough to mention all the exposed copper line due to the insulation being torn off.
I did a ton of research online & decided to have a professional replace the insulation due to my AC being on the roof and it being beyond what I felt comfortable doing on my own. I am the first to admit when a repair should be handled by a professional. I called Manwill & was transferred to Brian in Sales. Never have I been treated more horribly by a "Sales guy" than I did by him. Newsflash Brian, women actually KNOW ABOUT AC UNITS AND OTHER COMPLEX THINGS and Brian, guess what, WE OFTEN WRITE THE CHECKS TOO!
He acted like I had zero idea what I was talking about, he asked me "How do you even know this service needs to be done" and as soon as I told him his own tech told me this last month, he moved right into his "Sales mode." He told me it would be a very complicated repair, take at least 2 hours to replace at $150 per hour plus parts. Once I finally got him to set me up with in appointment (after he argued with me for 10 minutes) they were almost a month out for an appointment.
I called Black Diamond Experts and was seen 2 days later, the job took about 45 minutes and was less than $200 and the tech was BEYOND courteous and professional, even though I am a woman, can you believe that? I suggest Manwill immediately puts as many women as possible in decision making positions & do a check on their Sales guys. The power of the positive experience goes very far, but the power of a negative experience goes much farther. Do better Manwill.

We purchased our heating and air conditioner from Manwill and have always been very pleased with the service. However today working with Paul was certainly a cut above the rest as far as experiences go. He was extremely helpful and patient and got our heat back on in the middle of a snow storm. You don't come across many employees like Paul and we will be forever grateful for his expertise and knowledge about our furnace. He deserves a big raise!

I decided to have manwill come by to give a second opinion on a furnace that wasn't working. Another company (I won't say who) had told me the furnace had $1600 worth or repairs to do and since it was 16 years old that it made more sense to replace it. I'm glad I called Manwill because they fixed it in 45 minutes for $300. It was a simple heating element. It's so nice to deal with an honest company. I'll certainly hire them again.

Our heater was only working sporadically so I called Manwill and they were there within the hour. The technician found the problem and got it working quickly. I appreciated him taking the time to explain the issue and repair in detail when I asked. He went above and beyond to be helpful and courteous. We've used Manwill for years for heating and air conditioning work and I would highly recommend them.

We recently purchased a new home (a new build) that needed several upgrades: a water softening system, a steam humidifier, a work sink, repairs to water lines/ducts that were damaged due to hasty construction practices, and several new ducts to provide a bit of heating to an unfinished lower level. A friend reported positive experiences with Manwill Plumbing and Heating. So, despite the distance (40 miles from Manwill's Salt Lake City place of business to our new home), we gave them a call. Eric, Manwill's estimator, was super in itemizing the project.
He suggested I talk to Brian, the owner, to explore salt-free water systems, which I did. Brian provided market research and his own first-person accounts with salt free systems and corroborated what I had found. As a result, we contracted with Manwill for the full project. They installed a salt-free system (which has worked well in its first few months of operation), a steam whole-house humidifier, and the additional plumbing and heating detailed above.
Everything has functioned well. To insure that the system communicated with itself, Manwill sent out one of their top tech experts, David, to complete a digital tune-up from the thermostat down. Very important. Everything has worked without issue since David's visit. The other Manwill personnel I got to see in action-Kris (plumber), and Brandon and Ty (heating team) were top drawer-punctual, professional, and personable. I have already recommended Manwill to several friends, and will continue to do so.

Manwill went above and beyond in meeting my needs; I noticed on a Friday night that the flame sensor on my furnace was only turning on sporadically. I called another contractor, who asked me to leave a message and they'd get back to me. I then called Manwill: they've done plumbing work in my house that I was very satisfied with. While Manwill's first available appointment was on the next Monday, the very understanding lady I spoke with found a place for me on that weekend's emergency schedule.
The technician, Paul, who helped me out was amazing. He called a bit earlier than expected and asked if he could come early! It turns out that the problem was easily fixable, and Paul was on his way within minutes. I live alone, and anything out of the ordinary is of great concern. I'm grateful for Manwill's willingness to help me out with such both kindness and exceptional professionalism.

I have used Manwill Plumbing & Heating in the past and have been satisfied with their service; however, the last interaction I had with them was very unsatisfactory. Last year I was having problems with my whole home humidifier and since they were the ones that installed it I called them to repair it. The plumber who came out was able to fix the problem and said that I should have the water valve replaced in the future.
I asked him howl much that would cost and he said it would be around $150. Fast forward to this year and I was having trouble with the humidifier again. I called Manwill again and after looking at the water line feeding the humidifier I told them that there was no water getting to the humidifier. They sent 2 guys out to tell me what I already knew: there was no water getting to the humidifier and they charged me $50 to tell me what I already knew.
They set up another appointment and said that they would take $50 off of the next service. When they showed up for the next appointment the tech took 15 minutes to see what the problem was and then told me that the charges for that day would be $349 with the $50 credit. I was prepared to pay around $150 even with the $50 credit, but not $200 more so I sent the tech on his way.
I have been happy with the work your company has done, but I feel that the charges were way out of line. I talked to (sorry I don't remember his name) someone at Manwill about this and he made things right and my problem was taken care of for $156 which was very reasonable. The tech who did the work was very thorough and the job was very professionally done. As I said before. I have used Manwill Plumbing in the past and have always been satisfied with their service and I will continue to use them in the future.

Manwill installed a new furnace for us. Eric was super helpful in stopping by and walking us through the options without being pushy. The technicians Ricky and Jason were excellent. They got everything installed, and it was obvious their goal was to do it right, not to just get it done and get out. They left our utility room much cleaner then when they started. They even fixed a couple of things that had nothing to do with the furnace install. Super glad I found Manwill.

Although the actual, on site, service took much longer than I thought it should have, once the problem was diagnosed, the repair went quickly. I had a defective main board, the large board the runs everything! I expected that I would be without heat for at least 2 more days while a new circuit board was sent in from out of state (if one was found) Not so! My Lennox specialist had one on his truck! He installed the board, ran all the check items and was done! I will use Manwill again.

We had a leaky shower. They repaired the leak with a new faucet. I didn't want the usual (what I call the "hotel style") faucet, so they had to special order the part. When they came to do the job they were quick, efficient, professional and cleaned up after themselves! They did what they were asked to do without trying to sell me other products! Definitely would use them again and highly recommend them!

We recently had Manwill replace our leaking hot water heater's. The entire team was a pleasure to work with. From the estimate process to the installation. Scheduling the work was easy but with the "new normal" the replacement was scheduled out a bit. This was not a problem but something to remember the reputable service people are very busy. The replacement went flawlessly. Kris and Kyle communicated well, arrived at the scheduled time, we're very considerate of our home, and did a great job, even cleaning up some sketchy work done by a previous company. I am very adamant about quality workmanship and would recommend Manwill to others.

There techs are great to work with but there billing department is a nightmare. We have used them twice but we definitely won't be using them again. Both service appointments went fine but when we asked for an itemized list of charges we were told they don't do that we just get the total and have to pay that amount. I would definitely like to know where my money is going so I know I'm not getting taken advantage of. If you're unwilling to disclose pricing then what are you hiding.

Kris was great! He installed our water softener system. I got multiple bids, and it was really Kris' personality and way of explaining the process of what he would do to install the softener that made me trust him immediately to do the job. Not to mention Manwill had the best pricing. So pumped to have softer water in Park City proper! My parents use Manwill for their heating and air, so i figured I'd call on them for this plumbing job. Will definitely call them back for our reverse osmosis job once I've saved some more money.

Following my last positive experience with Manwill I decided to contact them again to install some Ecobee thermostats at my office. Despite having a c-wire behind the existing thermostats it was not powering the Ecobee and I wasn't in the mood to climb the roof of my office building so I contacted Manwill. They were able to get us scheduled right away and the techs they sent out were on-time, knowledgeable, friendly, and got the job done very quickly!

Maybe I just got a bad apple He fixed my plumbing And said he would come back to replace some valves since he tool was broken, ,, He did not return also Turns out the whole setup continued to leak I found another plumber who Charged me an Insane amount for the same job But they replaced every component and now I have a leak free faucet. I still dont know which one is better I mean my wallet is now broken But everything works I think perhaps these guys are good just the guy they sent me wasnt? IDK Anyhow They showed up they did some work (Reused my old parts) End of the day My sink still leaked not as badly but still and I had No turnoff valves because the guy didnt have the tool.
I think if the guy would have returned like he said I would have showed him it was still leaking and he probably would have fixed it, I never reached back out to have them repair it Because of the employee of thiers who Didnt follow through. Just searched for a new plumber I think I found the most expensive one in town. But the work is great.

Whomever I spoke to over the phone was amazing! I was referred to call Manwill by my parents and their friend who have used them for years. The person I spoke with over the phone listened to my story about another company trying to tell me my whole new AC and Furnace systems needed to be replaced after just four years. They explained in terms I could understand how the systems work and how it should still be covered under warranty.
They took the time to help me understand what I needed and ideas on how to get it done even though they're booked out for a few weeks and knew I needed something done sooner. The phone call to them helped save me thousands. Unfortunately due to the super hot season and everyone else having the same issue they were booked out pretty far. I ended up calling another excellent company to come help me out who had availability but I'd 100% recommend Manwill without hesitation.

Highly recommend Manwill Plumbing. I needed a backyard hose bib repaired and had received a bid from a big-name plumbing company for $700. They wanted to rip out the wall, replace the entire stretch of pipe - all for a small leak in the bib's vacuum cap. I have enough experience with owning property to know this was a ridiculous bid and way over the top. Manwill came super fast upon requesting a quote on Yelp and quickly fixed the leaking part for $96.
The plumber stayed onsite for a while afterwards to test the pressure and make sure there was not another leak. All in all, they came quickly, repaired the issue quickly, and were more than reasonably priced. Would highly recommend calling them first if you have plumbing needs. By the way my wife is a realtor and she is going to start referring clients to Manwill when things need to be fixed as part of the selling process.

The pilot light went out on our water heater. We had used them to replace our AC unit when another company wanted to screw us over. Their price for that was good and they were professional. I think that things have changed. Granted, my water heater will be due for replacement in a year or two, but as of right now its in fantastic condition apart from needing a $20 thermocouple.
We called Manwill, they came out a day later. The guy spent 5 minutes with it, then announces to my son that we need a new water heater and then leaves. So, I called another plumbing service, (I'll be reviewing them next) who came out right away and fixed it. If Manwill wanted to sell us a new water heater in the future, they should have fixed this one.

We had a central air unit and furnace put into our Sugarhouse Bungalow Home 5yrs ago and have had nothing but issues with both units. A brand new system and problems one after another. Now a leak supposedly somewhere in our ac unit. We've covered our unit every winter unbelievable! Nothing great about them. Up to date, this year the owner of the company had worked with my husband in making sure that everything was working well. We truly appreciate all that was done with no charge. Thank you

I am so happy I made the choice to have Eric Shafer come out and take a look at our HVAC system. He was extremely thorough and left me feeling confident in the choice I was making ultimately saving me thousands of dollars. He was so knowledgeable and gave me several different options leaving me with the feeling that he really cared about what was best for me and even educated me a bit so I didn't feel left in the dark. I highly recommend him!

I am so sick of dealing with these guys. They seem to hold the monopoly on HVAC in the SL Valley - but I have been twice burned by them. Once years ago when I was completely misquoted a new furnace install. And now this time after waiting ALL day ( holding up my travel plans) I called to reconfirm my appointment, only to be told it was for a date 3 WEEKS from today. WTH?!?! Why I bothered a second time? I have NO Idea But I'll never try with them again, and surely DO NOT recommend that you do either.

I had the most frustrating and unprofessional experience with a plumber. I called to ask for a quote to replace my boiler telling them about the current situation. They sent someone who look at it then admitted he didn't know enough about radiant heating and would consult someone with more "experience'. When he arrived several weeks later, he couldn't determine what btu was needed.
When I supplied the brand and model of what another hvac specialist recommended, he didn't think that they made one that powerful until he called someone in his office to confirm it. I asked if he was comfortable replacing such a unit, he left in a huff telling me he wouldn't do a job for 'someone who doubted him', showing me pictures of jobs past, one of which was for a "7000 sq.ft.house." I thought he was joking until he walked out my door. What a waste of both our time and energy.

I had a broken water line on my evaporative (swamp) cooler and was able to make an early morning appointment 1 week out. Kris was super helpful and took the time to make sure everything was working after replacing the water line. He found my pump was not working, after trying to clean out the pump, it had to be replaced, which he did very quickly with the parts he already had in his van. My roof is steep and hard to work on but Kris was gracious and helpful!

We've hired them three times to fix a leak in our water heater, and yet it is still leaking. That was over several weeks. After the third time, we gave up. Then our toilet was leaking. They came out twice to fix it, and it was still leaking. To get the leak on the toilet fixed, we had to get my brother to do it, and he's not even a plumber.

My first experience with Manwill was at my house and they did a decent job (they scuffed one of my doors up, then said they would clean it, but never did). I figured I would try them at my business. First time they sent someone, he had a horrible attitude. He was extremely grumpy and seemed to be completely put off by the fact he had to work. I asked Manwill to send us someone different the second time around for some more work.
This time this sent us someone who had no idea what he was doing. He needed to fix one leaky hose bib. 2 hours later he said he couldn't do the job and left. We'll be calling someone other than Manwill next time. Added a star due to owner reaching out to me to get to root of issue.

Communication is good. Keeping promises is not. Asked upfront about pricing. Was told $35 for the initial visit plus $24 for each 15 minutes. On a Monday afternoon, a tech came, had a quick look, and said we needed to get a faucet handle to go along with the Delta shower cartridge we already had. He said we wouldn't be charged for his visit, but we would when the handle was in and ready to go.
He said he'd just come back when we had the handle. The next day, we let Manwill know we had the handle. We had to wait until the following Friday. A different tech was sent. We were charged $157 for 42 minutes of work. When we asked about the bill, we were told it included the first visit.

Something has changed with this company and they have gone downhill. Please be careful if you have a rental. I have been using Manwill for over a decade. However, over the last few years I have not been happy with their service. For example, the tenants called them for a clogged kitchen sink. The plumber went in the process broke the P-trap and had to come back the next day. Manwill charged for both visits.
Not once through this process they called me. They only contact me when they wanted me to pay the bill. On the description it indicated that the piping was a plugged because it was old. Yeah right. Obviously whatever was plugging the pipe was caused by the renters. I can understand the 1.5 pipe breaking for being old but not clogged because of age.
Who are we kidding. The tenants had a similar compliant earlier in the year with the dishwasher. Fortunately, I sent Sears and they found a rag clogging the dishwasher drain. I'm glad I did not call Manwill for that service. Response to 7/13 comment: The limit of $250 was established by me after the fact. I had called twice to inform them that I wanted to be in the loop. At that time we established the limit

UPDATE: I was contacted in person by Manwill and they did apologize for the miscommunication between the staff. They did give us a partial refund on the cost of the service that reflected earlier expectations and grateful they wanted to make things right. I have updated my rating to reflect our satisfaction with their customer service and work well done. ---------------------- I initially contacted Manwill over the weekend through Yelp and had a few exchanges with Jim and he said he could contact me Monday when he knew the schedule.
I didn't hear back so I called him Wednesday and after being on hold for 8 minutes and having the receptionist put me back on hold 3 times, I set up a consult for Friday morning. Well i'm slightly disappointed in our customer experience, while the work they did today fixed our problem, I didn't expect that they would actually do the work today.
I was told over the phone someone would come and look at it (assuming to give us a quote), then the work could be done early next week. Unfortunately only my wife was home and they just did the work. It turned out the guy had some problems running a new wire for our thermostat so it took him 2 hours. So we ended up paying $275 for labor and $2.55 for a wire.
I understand problems can't be foreseen before work is started but I wish I would have had time to consider a quote beforehand. Maybe it's just me but it seems a little pricey. I guess they could have communicated better with my wife on the quote and within their own team since it was different people who did the work and who I talked to on the phone.
Otherwise I do appreciate that they contacted me over the weekend, and while I haven't been able to see the work yet, i'm sure it's a job well done and may consider changing my rating.

Very happy with their service. High winds blew over our furnace vent pipe and left a hole in our roof. Got a quick response via Yelp over Easter weekend, and a call again on Monday morning to schedule an estimate. They managed to get it fixed that same day for a very reasonable rate. Every employee we interacted with was professional and friendly. They definitely have a strong culture of caring for their customers and for their coworkers. I highly recommend Manwill. I'm a customer for life now.
